What I do or like to do
For my day job I am a Sr. Software Engineer at Midwestern Software Solutions (MS2), a transportation management group under the umbrella of Midwestern Consulting in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I am the president and CEO of a side business, Forbesoft, which is run out of my home. I offer web software development, database management, Google Maps integration, design, hosting, email, and a variety of internet marketing consulting.
My wife and I are finishing up a self-build of our dream log home where we wish to retire. I learned how to do the electrical, plumbing, radiant floor basement, pole barn garage, tongue and groove ceilings, insulation, and plan on doing the hardwood flooring, Cultured Stone chimney exterior and trim.
Hobbies, time permitting, include building handmade cedar Squirrel Chair Feeders, woodworking, doing “fix-it” stuff, world travel, mission trips through MOST Ministries, road running, trail running, mountain biking, road biking, participating in the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan Wish-A-Mile 300 mile bike tour, back country camping, hiking, nordic and downhill skiing, mountain climbing, fishing, playing my euphonium, listening to talk radio, local and global politics, playing with my dog Cody, finding new and unique dining locations, church small groups, church ministry, board gaming, video gaming, Spanish, and the list goes on!
